State-of-the-art network time synchronisation with the T7 trading infrastructure
Time Service (PTP)
PTP and NTP based network time synchronisation
Key benefits
State-of-the-art timekeeping and network architecture
Quick and easy connection
Precise reference time for mission-critical trading applications and market data feed handlers
Latency transparency
Deutsche Börse’s time service is built for continuous, precision time protocol (PTP) based network time synchronisation with Eurex Exchange’s T7 trading infrastructure. Our time service distributes a precise GPS (global positioning system) time signal with sub-microsecond accuracy.
Service details
Continuous synchronisation of customers’ system clocks with Deutsche Börse Group’s GPS time source
Utilisation of the leading technologies in time measurement
Dedicated 1 Gbps SMF (50 µm) cross-connects
Available in colocation only
Time Service (White Rabbit)
High precision time synchronisation
Key benefits
Application measurements with an accuracy of less than a nanosecond
WR time distribution is also the basis for the High Precision Timestamps (HPT) Daily File Service.
The HPT Services uses the White Rabbit technology initially developed at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research. Synchronisation with the T7 trading system is done with the highest available accuracy on a dedicated network. For the connection BiDi SFPs are needed because the SMF connection is bidirectional with different wavelengths.
