Innovation & Ventures – the main catalyst of growth
An innovation is something new – an idea, method or product. The extent to which an innovation succeeds or fails depends heavily on the development processes involved and the environment and culture in which it operates. Innovation is key – for the growth of companies as well as for the economy at large.
Deutsche Börse Group is deeply dedicated to innovation. Adapting to change is nothing new to Deutsche Börse Group, in fact, electronification of trading has long been a key success factor for Deutsche Börse, going back to the launch of Deutsche Terminbörse, Germany’s first electronic derivatives exchange, in 1990. Its digital business model has led to the company’s success and popularity.
Transforming into Exchange 4.0
Today digitisation is transforming the financial industry’s DNA. Cloud computing, open source, and blockchain are just a few examples. Deutsche Börse has set up a very ambitious initiative to prepare the company for rapid and ongoing innovation – in cooperation with our customers and partners.
Exchange 4.0 is the name we have coined for this initiative. It describes the way we will redefine what market infrastructure stands for and how market infrastructure operates – fully data-driven with new products and services.
Going forward, the pace of innovation is likely to further increase, and Deutsche Börse aims to support its clients in coping with these new challenges in various ways.
