Social Days: How Our Global Teams Put Community Purpose into Action

Release date: Oct 06, 2026

Our social days are a cherished tradition at Deutsche Börse Group. They are a tangible expression of our values and provide a meaningful opportunity to connect with the local communities we are engaged in. In 2026, our teams around the world once again rolled up their sleeves, dedicating their time to making a difference for a good cause.

A heartfelt thank you to all colleagues who have participated in our Social Days!

Frankfurt

Colleagues at our corporate headquarters teamed up with Malteser Hilfsdienst for several community initiatives. They accompanied senior citizens on a day trip, led interview training sessions for school leavers, and gave living areas at a residential care home a makeover.

Natàlia Kianickova: “It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with colleagues across different departments and support residents and their families.”

Hong Kong

In Hong Kong, our colleagues partnered with Soap Cycling Limited, a social enterprise that gives discarded hotel amenities a second life. Instead of letting usable products go to waste in landfills, our team hygienically sanitized soap and toiletries so they could be distributed to communities in need.

Leipzig

400 colleagues from EEX and ECC demonstrated the power of community engagement during their social day. Across Leipzig and the surrounding area, our teams supported 25 initiatives: from assisting at daycares, youth facilities, refugee centers, and retirement homes to environmental cleanups in local parks and forests.

London

Early rising was the order of the day for the social day in London. At 05:45, our volunteers began their shift at the Whitechapel Mission in London to cook and serve freshly prepared meals to up to 450 people experiencing homelessness and poverty.

Kingsley Kennedy-Smith: “I have attended this worthwhile cause before. Giving your time to a good cause is one of the most humanitarian things you can do.”

Luxembourg

Supporting SOS Kanneduerf and SOS Kinderdorf, our volunteers in Mersch and Merzig renewed an animal enclosure, built a play pergola and therapy terrace, and brightened up storage containers together with the children.

Dieter Goerg: “Working together with international colleagues to create something lasting for the children is truly rewarding.”

Manila

In the Philippines, SimCorp colleagues partnered with Rise Against Hunger during their Sustainability Day to support a feeding program, helping prepare and provide essential meals to vulnerable communities.

Prague

In Prague, volunteering is a continuous journey throughout the year. Colleagues get involved in various initiatives, including contributing to workshops for people with disabilities and senior centers, helping maintain nature trails, and assisting at animal rescue centers.

Singapore

In Singapore, our colleagues took part in a coastal beach cleanup. Equipped with grabbers, gloves, and collection bags, they removed 302 kg of plastic waste and debris in total, helping to raise awareness about environmental challenges.

Our 360T team joined MINDSville@Napiri Children’s Wing, supporting youth with intellectual disabilities. Colleagues joined the youngsters and together painted footballs, customizing each one with the children. Everyone then played games together for a wonderful day pairing creative fun with a donation to the organization.

Zurich

In Switzerland, our volunteers supported an organic mountain farmer in the Muotathal mountains who avoids synthetic pesticides. Because preserving alpine biodiversity without chemicals requires extensive physical labor, the team spent the day clearing invasive plants across steep pastures.

Isabel Hupfer: “Despite the warm weather, bug bites, sore muscles, and a few encounters with stubborn thistles, the team’s enthusiasm never faded.”

ISS STOXX

The ISS STOXX Green Offices Challenge encouraged colleagues to make a collective impact through simple, sustainable actions. Alongside workplace initiatives, employees in Berlin, Brussels, Prague, Oslo, Toronto and Washington participated in several volunteer activities that supported environmental and social causes in their local communities.

A heartfelt thank you to all our colleagues around the globe who made our social days such an inspiring success – and there are more to come!
