Relevant knowledge, skills and experience

Barbara Lambert gained extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of auditing, accounting and internal control procedures through her many years at Arthur Andersen and subsequently at Ernst & Young in Switzerland. In addition to heading audit activities in the financial sector at Ernst & Young Switzerland, she served, amongst other roles, as an auditor for a major Swiss bank. She also has extensive knowledge in the field of risk management, gained during her tenure as Chief Risk Officer at Banque Pictet & Cie SA. Ms. Lambert is a member or chair of several audit and risk committees of boards of directors and supervisory boards. Her current mandates include Implenia AG since March 2019, and Merck KGaA since August 2023 (both listed companies), as well as UBS Switzerland AG (since April 2022). In addition to her particular expertise in the areas of accounting and auditing, which also encompasses sustainability reporting, she possesses in-depth knowledge of regulatory matters and information technology. Ms. Lambert has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse AG since 2018. Since then, she has chaired the Audit and Risk Committee and is a member of the Nomination and Governance Committee and the Mediation Committee.
