Unscheduled Adjustments in MDAX and SDAX

Fielmann replaces Altana effective on 6 January 2009

Due to the takeover of Altana by SKion unscheduled adjustments will be made to MDAX® and SDAX®. Altana’s freefloat has dropped below ten percent and does therefore no longer meet the criteria of the index. Fielmann will replace the share of Altana in MDAX.

This also leads to a change in SDAX: Bertrandt will be included in SDAX replacing Fielmann.

All changes are effective on 6 January 2009.

The next regular review of the equity indices of Deutsche Börse is scheduled for 4 March 2009.
