Preliminary Scenario Calculation for Equity Indices (UPDATE)

New weightings in equity indices effective on 23 June

Effective 23 June, new index weights will apply for companies in equity indices of Deutsche Börse. Deutsche Börse released the preliminary weighting figures on Wednesday. An update of the preliminary weighting will be published on Friday. The preliminary data can be downloaded from the Deutsche Börse website. The final figures based on Friday’s Xetra closing prices will be published on the Deutsche Börse website on Saturday.

The preferred share of Fuchs Petrolub  will be included in MDAX and will replace Arques. The exclusion was triggered by the so-called fast-exit rule, because the company is ranked 78th in terms of market capitalization.

The share of Arques will move to SDAX replacing the preferred share of Fuchs Petrolub.

At the same time SKW Stahl will be included in SDAX, Thielert will be leaving the Index. Furthermore the share of Gesco will move to SDAX replacing the share of Balda.

The next equity index review is scheduled for 3 September 2008.
