Materiality analysis

Materiality analysis

A process-based materiality analysis is a key element of Deutsche Börse Group’s sustainability strategy: in particular, this means evaluating and analysing the needs and expectations of relevant internal and external stakeholders on an ongoing basis. The process serves to determine topics of particular importance to the company’s business activities or which have a significant impact on them. This, in turn, enables the Group to identify the opportunities and risks of its core business activities at an early stage and to translate them into concrete areas of entrepreneurial activity.

Stakeholder

We continuously interact with a large number of different stakeholder groups to promote trustful relationships.

Dialogue with external and internal stakeholders

We expand and intensify our dialogue with various stakeholders by means of a qualitative survey format along with additional qualitative formats.

Areas for action

The key criterion used to identify relevant areas for action is their materiality, i.e. their significance for our assets, earnings and business situation as well as the general issue of whether these aspects can be influenced by Deutsche Börse Group.
